LASALLE SINGAPORE INAUGURATES EMBLEMATIC ART SCHOOL
The building that houses the LaSalle-SIA Art College is a project of RSP Architects, Planners - Engineers, one of the leading architectural firms in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The LaSalle-SIA campus, which can accommodate up to 4000 students, is located between one of the citys public spaces and a private area reserved for the university community. Formally, the campus appears as a set of black granite and glass blocks arranged around a central public space. In spatial terms, the LaSalle building was designed with an organic, active interior façade that contrasts with a solid, more passive exterior profile. LaSalle-SIA Art College was created by amalgamating six art schools, including schools specializing in disciplines such as music, sculpture and multimedia. Each component, however, retains its own distinct identity. The model chosen for this unique project is Flame by Figueras, designed by Portuguese architect Filipe Oliveira Dias in collaboration with the Figueras Design Centre. Flame is distinguished by its ethereal lines and the noble character of its constituent materials: the aluminium pedestal, the wood in the seat and backrest, and the natural leather upholstery. The chair features exceptional acoustic properties, and seats fold automatically and noiselessly. Flame`s ergonomic design makes it an extremely comfortable.

April 23rd, 2004 in Castelo Branco
We hace the honour of communicate that its Excellence, Prime Minister Dr. Durão Barroso, in commemorations domain of April 25 th 30 years, announced Castelo Branco Polytehcnical Institute Arts and Health Higher Schools new Talagueira Campus.
It’s about two important Higher Education schools of which project we are authors and that with joy we now see announced. |

VILA REAL THEATER INAUGURATION
Past March 19 th 2004 with an esplendid spectacle was inagurated Vila Real Theater. This activity was preceded by inagural ceremony presided by its Excellence, Prime Minister Dr. Durão Barroso. At the ceremony also were present Minister-Assistant José Luis Arnault, Minister of Culture Dr. Pedro Roseta, Municipal Chamber President Manuel Martins and project’s author Architect Filipe Oliveira Dias.
The spectacle began at 22h 30m, it was performed by Madrid Flamenco Dance Company and was inspired in Bizet’s Opera Carmen. |

BRAGANÇA MUNICIPAL THEATER INAUGURATION
On January 31st 2004 took place Inaugural Concerts spectacle, that was preceded by Bragança Municipal Theater inaugural ceremony, presided by its Excellence Prime Minister Dr. Durão Barroso. At the ceremony also were present Minister of Cultur Dr. Pedro Roseta, Municipal President Eng. Jorge Nunes and project author Architec Filipe Oliveira Dias.
The concert started at 22h00m, was performed by Phylarmonic Orchestra that played Elgar, Eurico Carrapatoso, Hugo Correia, Strauss, Donizetti, Keil, Puccini and Verdi woks. |
